Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

We got the brioche french toast and the corned beef hash! The Caribbean french toast sounded really good but I can't eat bananas so I asked them to just add coconut to the brioche french toast. I'd highly highly recommend ordering the french toast that way cuz it was really delicious and flavorful! The corned beef hash also tasted really good and hit the spot. Honestly there were so many options in the menu that looked really yummy, so you could order anything and come out satisfied. Will definitely come again!

A local classic and must try if you love legacy local spots. Super authentic with all the decorations of a old school dinner. Corned beef was real corned beef and not some pre-made "stuff". Pies were out of this world! Skip the trendy spots around here and get some real good food.

Palo Alto Creamery is located in the heart of Palo Alto at 566 Emerson St, right at the intersection of Hamilton Ave and Emerson St, making it very easy to find. Itβs a spacious restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and consistently great service. The food is delicious and served quickly, even during busy times. This place is especially well known for its burgers, which are flavorful and satisfying. I personally loved the chicken wings the spicy and sweet flavors were spot on and the fries were crispy and tasty. Itβs an excellent spot for friends and family gatherings, whether youβre looking for a casual meal or a relaxed dining experience. Street-side parking is available, which is convenient given the central location. Overall, a reliable and enjoyable place for good food, fast service, and a comfortable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Palo Alto Creamery has such a warm and inviting vibe... clean, charming, and great for families. The staff was truly wonderful!! Friendly, upbeat, and very attentive, which really made our visit enjoyable. The food wasnβt quite what we hoped for this time. The salad dressing was a bit too thick and the greens could have been fresher, and the burger was more on the average side. Still, with the great atmosphere and genuinely lovely service, the place has a lot going for it. Iβd be happy to give it another try.

I enjoyed a late breakfast here. My waiter told me that they are known for their milkshakes. I was recommended to have the dish shown, a hash brown pie. The flavors were nice. Service here is great and the atmosphere feels like an old time diner. Prices seemed a bit high even for the area for breakfast dishes. It is worth a visit if you are craving diner food in the downtown Palo Alto area.
